Field Apprentice (P/T)

Job Description

The part-time apprentice will participate in the basic aspects of our farm operation—transplanting, weeding, harvesting, etc. They will work alongside our experienced growers and benefit from their combined 50+ years of experience. Manual labor experience is preferred, and an unwavering work ethic is essential. 

 Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

  • Must be willing to work in all weathers

  • Must be able to follow direction

  • Must be able to maintain a fast work pace

  • Must be able to stay focused

  • Must be able to maintain positive energy

  • Must have a valid drivers license

 

Dates

Wednesdays 8am–4pm

Fridays 8am–4pm

May 17 – Sept 3

Salary

$15/hour

Tin House Manager (P/T)

Job Description

The Tin House manager will be responsible for setting up for the weekday CSA pickup and farm stand, i.e. moving produce from the walk-in cooler and creating an attractive and functional display. On Tuesdays, once the pickup is underway, the manager will shift to weeding in the flower and herb beds, while Ann Holdgruen, our Tuesday pickup host, manages the pickup. On Thursdays, the manager will remain in the Tin House to manage the pickup. At the end of both pickups, the manager is responsible for clearing the tables and recording the leftovers in the harvest log.

 Job Requirements

  • Must be organized and good with math

  • Must have an eye for appearances and presentation

  • Must have excellent customer service skills

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Tuesdays 1–7pm

Thursdays 1–7pm

May 25 – Oct 21

Salary

$15/hour

We expect all crew members to work their tails off. Farming is wet, dry, hot, cold, dirty, buggy, smelly, and exhausting. It is also exhilarating.
