Bald Eagle Sighting, May 2018

On May 2, 2018, around 3pm, an American bald eagle was spotted in the trees overlooking the pond adjacent to the Powell farm house. Several Restoration Farm staff members and volunteers witnessed the event. The eagle flew north around 4pm.

On May 3, 2018, at 8:45am, the eagle swooped over the Restoration Farm fields before landing in the pond. It took a drink as Canadian geese floated by. At around 9am, it flew into a nearby pine, where it remained for the next three hours. Around noon, it flew south.
