CSA Renewals—2026
November 10, 2026

Thanks to everyone who participated in both CSA member surveys. There was not enough interest to support the monthly and harvester shares, so we did our best to craft a one-size-fits-most share that includes:
-
bi-weekly pickups (no weekly option)
-
standard pick-your-own berries, flowers, & herbs
-
40-50% reduction in vegetable volume through
–elimination of first pickup in late May
–elimination of several labor-intensive crops (peas, cukes, shallots, & storage onions)
–reduced volume of summer fruit crops (peppers, eggplant, squash, & heirloom tomatoes)
There will NOT be a member lottery
Your share will be reserved until January 15, 2026.

The farm stand will operate at full capacity
Members are encouraged to supplement their CSA shares at the farm stand, where they get 10% off, or through our new Shopper Share Bundle.

We still don't have a contract
Our last 10-year contract expired on 12/31/24. Nassau County accepted our bid to continue operating in May, but there has been no progress since then. So once again, in addition to accepting the risk that pests and weather could reduce crop yields, CSA members must also accept the risk that we could get evicted at any moment. If that happens, we will issue pro-rated refunds. Full refunds will be available until January 15, 2026.
What is a Shopper Share?
The shopper share was launched in 2012 as a flexible alternative to CSA. Participants lock in a volume discount at the farm stand by purchasing credit in advance. Credit must be redeemed by the end of the season. Click here for more info.
$100 credit — 5% discount ($95)
$200 credit — 10% discount ($180)
$300 credit — 12% discount ($264)

What is a Shopper Share Bundle?
During the CSA renewal period (Nov–Jan 15), current members can purchase a premium shopper share along with their CSA share.
$100 credit — 10% discount ($90)
$300 credit — 12% discount ($264)
$500 credit — 12% discount ($440)
$700 credit — 12% discount ($616)
In lieu of the Thanksgiving pickup, we will offer a "thank you" bonus (2-3 items) for members who renew by December 15. It will be distributed at the final farm stands on December 19 & 20. We appreciate your patience and support as we navigate through this uncertain terrain, and we look forward embarking upon a new season together.
All the best,
Caroline & Dan
